How to Explore Vanpool and Commute Smarter

(Step-by-Step Guide)


Step 1. Go to vans.intercitytransit.com to explore vanpool options and Sign Up.

There is no obligation when signing up. If you join a group, a Participant Agreement will be required at that time. You may Select Language to view the information in the language of your choice. If you have a previous vanpool profile registered on this site, please sign in instead of signing up.

Step 2. Following your sign up, a Rideshare Password Recovery Request as “Welcome to our Rideshare Service” will be found in your personal email inbox or junk/spam folder from donotreply@rideproweb.com.

Step 3. Select the hyperlink to set your account password.

Please remember to set a password within 24 hours of creating your new account.

Step 4. Your account is activated! Next, you will be asked to fill out your basic profile details.

Your name, email address and phone number will be filled in. Your personal email address is your primary email and is required. When done, select the forward arrow to continue.

Step 5. Set up your account preferences.

Confirm your current home address. Your information is confidential and used by Intercity Transit Vanpool staff only. Your home address is required to meet State and Federal Vanpool requirements. If your address changes in the future, log into your account and update your information. If someone referred you to try vanpool, enter their first and last name.

When done, select the forward arrow to continue.

 

Step 6. Set up your work location.

The physical employer address where you work is required. You may find your employer has multiple work addresses entered in our system. Enter your current employer’s name and address. If your work address is different than the address that populates, you may manually update the address field. Afterwards, enter your current work hours.

Step 7. Set up your matching preferences.

Tell us about your commute! We will assist you with ride matches with an existing group or help start a new vanpool group. When completed, select the done icon at the bottom of the page to be redirected to My Account.

Step 8. This is the final step to begin vanpooling!

Select the Participant Agreement icon for our staff to match you with an existing vanpool group or to assist with forming a new vanpool group. After reviewing and agreeing to participate in the Intercity Transit Vanpool Program, at the bottom of the page include your signature and click submit. We will not be able to add you to a vanpool group without finishing this step. If you are a returning vanpool customer, a new Participant Agreement is required prior to re-joining vanpool.
